The Brief

Al Barari’s premium residential and commercial setting comes with elevated expectations for finish quality — anything below a certain standard simply doesn’t belong there. Every carpentry joint, cladding edge, and surface transition had to be executed with a level of precision that matched the environment. Working within a space that was part of a larger ongoing development meant coordinating access and deliveries around other contractors on site without disrupting the programme or compromising the quality of the finished works.

Our Approach

We worked closely with the salon owner to understand the workflow of the space before drawing up a single detail. Station layout, storage requirements, and the cladding design were all planned together so the carpentry served the operation, not just the aesthetic. Items were fabricated off-site to keep disruption minimal, then brought in and installed in a controlled sequence — cladding first, built-in units second, stations last.

Timeline

01 — Understanding the Requirement
Full brief taken from the salon owner — station count, storage needs, cladding areas, material preferences, and the overall finish level expected for the space.

02 — Site Visit & Technical Study
On-site survey of the salon footprint, wall conditions, fixing substrates, and spatial layout to confirm station positioning and cladding coverage areas.

03 — Planning & Scope Finalization
Complete carpentry schedule agreed and signed off — station dimensions, storage configurations, cladding material and pattern confirmed, with fabrication and installation timeline locked in.

04 — Material & Execution Schedule
All carpentry sent into fabrication off-site. Cladding materials sourced, samples approved. On-site sequence planned — walls prepared and cladded before any built-in units were brought in.

05 — On-Site Execution
Decorative cladding installed first across all designated wall areas. Custom storage units brought in and fitted. Styling stations installed last — positioned, levelled, and secured to final layout.

06 — Quality Check
Every unit checked for alignment, fit, and finish. Cladding joints and edges inspected. Any snags identified and resolved before the client walkthrough.

07 — Final Handover
Full clean-down, walkthrough with the salon owner, and space handed over ready for the next phase — on time and to spec.
